Hmmm, the gadget I can’t live without while traveling. Probably my iPhone, I usually bring my laptop with me as well, but I can do a lot of the same stuff on the phone.

I need some kind of music device when traveling, whether its my ipod, laptop, or phone, + headphones. Generally its my ipod.

I can’t live without the amazing portable world that sits in my pocket. I call it the GateWay to life in this modern society. Some call it the iPhone 4. To each their own, but without it man would have to suffer cruel, unadulterated nature, maybe even go a day without hearing the satisfying click of a correctly entered pin number. I fear, for the sake of all that’s wired and adorned with pretty lights, that the common man and those who are my comrades in the race to gadget wizadry, never face the atrocities of a world without the GateWay.

Although my smart phone is convenient, it doesn’t have the range of options needed for travel purposes. A tablet combines all the best features in one compact unit; who could ask for more? Definitely would like to get my hands on an HP TouchPad.

The TouchPad is the palm pre on steroids.

While traveling, I always bring my itouch with me. It has all my apps that I use, with my music, and if I can find wifi I have a browser to check my email and download stuff with. It’s super portable which I truly appreciate. Plus it’s easy to keep in my pocket. Heck, I don’t leave for class without my itouch.

Asus makes some pretty good netbooks. The 10″ netbooks are so comfortable for travel. As great as tablets are, it’s still nice to have a physical keyboard.

Gadget while traveling, eh? No doubt about it, my Canon SLR, with external harddrive and multiple memory cards. Have to be sure I can spend 4-5 weeks after my trip editing photos.

It’s really hard for me to say. Either my Nikon, or my phone, or my music. Really hard for me to pick just one, because they’re all handy in different situations.

My laptop is absolutely key to the success of any short or long term travel. It’s the hub of operations, from downloading entertainment for the plane to making sure all the logistics are correct (and doing any last minute changes, additions), doing local research, a place to store pictures and video, and most importantly, a place to read GQTRIPPIN.COM FROM, BABY!

I can’t live without my Android phone when I travel, it’s got all my podcasts, tells me where to go, where to eat, what to do. I don’t ever have to prepare to do anything, I just go, and figure it out later with my phone.

I couldnt travel without my iPhone. Music + Maps + Guide Books + Skype calls back home + Camera….i mean does it get ANY better? well i guess if i could put a sim card in there for $50 a month that would be the cats meow!

I can’t live without my netbook (Asus S101) when I’m travelling. I love my phone, but my netbook is for real computing needs (especially RDP & SSL)

Currently, I can’t leave home without my smartphone (currently Samsung Galaxy). BUT, I hope to soon have that indispensable item be a Touchpad!

The number one gadget has to be my Motorola Droid. It can do just about everything. Had it about a week and traveled to Las Vegas. The phone made getting around, eating, finding cool spot so easy.

I do not travel much but when I do, I cannot leave without my laptop. I hope that with a HP Touchpad I could eliminate the clunkiness of a large laptop.

My cell phone is an absolute must! I loved my Blackberry before it died on me, but I also have another smartphone that is adequate for traveling.

I typically can’t travel without a Camera or cellphone (palm pre 2) gadget-wise. For the obvious reason of taking pictures of somewhere you will only be temporarily. And the phone because it is treated like a life source. Other than that I always bring my own pillow! Other ones don’t have the same effect.

I can’t live without a phone of some sort… Any kind. Even a dumb phone. Though a smart phone is definitely nicer (and I wouldn’t say no to a TouchPad)

I’ve never been able to live without a book while travelling, and now I bring my Kindle everywhere. I went on a trip a couple weeks ago where I was only gone overnight, but I still brought my Kindle, even though I didn’t use it.

I would say my smart phone…but I’ve come to learn that noise cancelling headphones are a great help on planes and even in the car, so that’s what I can’t live without while travelling.

I would say my laptop, but the usage pretty much gets restricted to where I get Wifi Connection (unless you count tethering to my smartphone) .. The reason being is that the phone browser may be good but it’s not good enough for me.. Another reason I want the touchpad .. something to replace my laptop with
