Lucky’s Souvlakis, You’re My Gyro!

What’s the Best Thing You Ever Ate.. Wrapped?

G found his here in Santorini, Greece.

The single greatest part about Santorini – white washed houses, brilliant blue domes and dramatic cliff drops aside – is seeing G smile from ear to ear the moment he held this!

For about 2E, it’s the cheapest, most satisfying meal in Santorini.

A gyro (yee roh) is a popular Greek fast food sandwich filled with meat roasted from a vertical spit, lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce all wrapped up in a lightly toasted pita bread. And if that is not enough to tickle your tongue, what sets Lucky’s apart from all the rest.. they stuff theirs with french fries! Yep, you heard right. French fries!

We have had our fair shares of yee- rohs back home, seek out (and got lost) the famous O Thanasis in Athens. But here nestled on an island in the middle of the Mediterranean is where G decided to have his Best Thing I Ever Ate moment.

Guess we’ll just have to come back. 🙂

We want to know — what’s the best thing you ever ate — wrapped?!
